The Sahel Analysis, Monitoring and Learning Platform (PASAS) is a tool for producing, capitalising on and disseminating knowledge to inform the strategic and operational decisions of local and international development actors with regard to the challenges of fragile areas in the Sahel and Lake Chad.
The digital platform supports knowledge-sharing by bringing together robust analyses, carried out by PASAS and our partners, around four themes:
- governance and inclusive development
- the socio-economic and political inclusion of marginalised groups
- population security and the promotion of human rights
- mediation and conflict management
Developed by AFD's Minka Sahel Initiative and implemented by the IRD-ICE consortium, PASAS mobilizes high-quality field expertise to improve the relevance and effectiveness of aid provided for peacebuilding. Working closely with the G5 Sahel, the Sahel Alliance and other development actors, PASAS is a tool for a strong partnership approach in the region.
